Privacy Policy for Poser

Poser is operated by Concurrent Space Ltd ("we," "us," and "our"). This policy explains what stays on your device, what limited data reaches our service providers, and the choices you have.

1. The Short Version

Poser is a local-first camera and creative editing app. There is no account, and your captured photos, pose references, custom stickers, tags and edits stay on your device.

We do not upload your photos or creations to our servers, sell personal information, or use advertising networks.

Apple and RevenueCat handle purchases. Aptabase analytics stay off until you switch them on. Sentry receives crash diagnostics, never your images.

2. Who We Are

Poser is operated by Concurrent Space Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16800102. We are the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything on this page at poser@concurrent.space.

3. What Stays on Your Device

Poser stores your captured photos and display copies, pose reference images, custom cutout stickers, tags, library metadata, decorations and editing data, app preferences, onboarding state, and your analytics choice inside the app's local iOS container.

Image files sit in the app's local Documents directory, and their metadata is indexed with SwiftData. Custom cutouts are produced on your device using Apple's Vision and Core Image frameworks. We never send the source image to a cloud image processor.

We cannot view or retrieve any of this. Device and iCloud backups may include app data depending on your settings, and Apple controls those.

4. Camera, Photos, and Sharing

Poser uses the camera for the live viewfinder and to take a photo. The translucent pose guide is a framing aid and is not part of the captured image.

Poser asks for Photos Add Photos Only permission when you save an image. It does not request general read access to your library. When you pick a pose reference or sticker source, Apple's system picker hands Poser only the items you chose.

When you share or export, the iOS share sheet sends the image to the destination you pick, under that destination's own privacy practices. We never receive a copy. You can review or revoke Camera and Photos permissions in iOS Settings.

5. Optional Analytics

Aptabase is off by default. Poser does not initialise it or send any event unless you choose I'm Fine With That during onboarding, or switch on Usage Insights in Settings.

If you enable it, Poser records low-detail product events: onboarding completion, selecting a ghost pose, capturing or saving or sharing or deleting a photo, importing pose references, creating a custom sticker, adding a decoration, seeing a paywall, and purchase-flow actions. The SDK adds a timestamp, an expiring random session identifier, app version and build, operating system, device model, language, and whether the build is a development build. None of this is a persistent user or advertising identifier.

Poser never sends your photos, pose content, sticker content, user-authored text, tags or file paths to Aptabase.

Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by disabling Usage Insights in Settings. Events already delivered before you disable it stay subject to Aptabase's retention.

Aptabase Privacy Policy

6. Crash and Error Diagnostics

Poser uses Sentry to identify crashes, app hangs, watchdog terminations, and operational errors such as a failed capture, purchase, save, share, import or cutout.

A report may contain an error type and message, stack trace, thread state, technical breadcrumbs, timestamp, app version and build, device model, operating system version, and a feature-area tag such as camera_capture.

Poser configures Sentry not to send default personally identifiable information. We do not set a Sentry user name, email address or advertising identifier, we do not enable Session Replay, and we never attach screenshots, photos, pose references or stickers.

This is always on and has no in-app switch. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping Poser working.

Sentry Privacy Policy

7. Purchases

Apple processes all App Store payments, subscriptions, cancellations and refunds. We never receive your card number, Apple ID password or billing address.

Poser uses RevenueCat to load products, check Premium entitlement, complete and validate purchases, and restore them. Because Poser has no accounts, the RevenueCat SDK generates a random anonymous App User ID stored on your device. It is not linked to a name, email or account.

RevenueCat may process that identifier, Apple receipt and purchase history, product identifiers, transaction dates and states, renewal and trial and entitlement status, storefront and currency, app version, and technical device information.

Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

RevenueCat Privacy Policy

8. Who Receives Your Data

We disclose limited information only to Apple, RevenueCat, Aptabase and Sentry, for the purposes described above, or where the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent personal information, use third-party advertising networks, use Apple's advertising identifier, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

9. How Long Data Is Kept, and Where

Delete a photo, pose or sticker in Poser to remove it from local storage. Delete the app to remove its local container, subject to backups Apple controls. If you saved a copy to Photos, delete that separately.

Sentry keeps diagnostic reports for up to 90 days. Aptabase keeps analytics for up to five years. We keep purchase and transaction records for six years to meet UK accounting obligations.

Sentry and Aptabase both store data in the United States. RevenueCat and Apple may also process data outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission standard contractual clauses, or another safeguard permitted under UK data protection law.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

In practice these rights reach only the limited data held by Aptabase, Sentry, RevenueCat and Apple, because everything else stays on your device. Email poser@concurrent.space and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU.

11. Security

Poser reduces exposure by keeping your creative content local, relying on iOS sandboxing and Apple system pickers, limiting analytics event properties, disabling default personal-data collection in diagnostics, and using no advertising identifiers or session replay. You are responsible for securing your device, passcode, Apple account and any copies you export.

12. Children

Poser is a general-audience camera and creative app, not a social network or an advertising service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through Poser, email poser@concurrent.space and we will delete it.

13. Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes, and update our App Store privacy disclosures before any new kind of collection begins.
