Privacy Policy for StyleSnap
StyleSnap is operated by Concurrent Space Ltd ("we," "us," and "our"). This policy explains what stays on your device, what limited data reaches our service providers, and the choices you have.
1. The Short Version
StyleSnap keeps your wardrobe on your phone. There is no account, and your photos, stickers, tags, prices, ratings and calendar history never reach our servers.
We do not sell your data, use advertising trackers, or share your photos with anyone.
Three outside services handle narrow jobs: RevenueCat for App Store purchases, Aptabase for optional anonymous usage analytics, and Sentry for crash reporting.
2. Who We Are
StyleSnap is operated by Concurrent Space Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16800102. We are the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us about anything on this page at stylesnap@concurrent.space.
3. What Stays on Your Device
Everything you create in StyleSnap is stored on your device: clothing and outfit photos, cutout stickers, categories, tags, notes, prices, ratings, wear history and calendar entries.
Cutouts and stickers are produced on your device using Apple system features. We do not send your photos to a cloud image processor.
Motion effects read your accelerometer locally. Raw sensor readings are never stored or transmitted.
We cannot see any of this. There is no copy on our servers for us to hand over, correct or delete.
4. Optional Analytics
If you leave analytics on, StyleSnap sends basic product events to Aptabase: app launches, screen views, feature usage, app version, operating system version and language.
Aptabase is built to be anonymous. It uses no device identifiers, cookies or fingerprinting, and derives a session identifier from a salted hash of your IP address that is discarded every 24 hours. We never send your photos, item names, tags, prices, notes or calendar entries.
Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by turning analytics off in StyleSnap Settings. Premium does not depend on it.
5. Crash Reporting and Bug Reports
StyleSnap uses Sentry to report crashes and errors. This is always on and cannot currently be switched off in the app.
A report can include a stack trace, your IP address, and diagnostics such as device model, operating system version, app version and language. It also includes breadcrumbs, a short trail of the screens and buttons involved just before the problem.
When an error occurs, Sentry records a short screen replay of the surrounding moments. Every piece of on-screen text and every image, including your wardrobe photos and outfit selfies, is masked and replaced with a plain shape before that replay is created. Sessions without errors are never replayed.
Settings includes an optional Report a bug form. The message is required. An email address is optional, and is used only to reply to that specific report.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping StyleSnap working.
6. Purchases
Apple processes all App Store payments, subscriptions, cancellations and refunds. We never receive your card number, Apple ID password or billing address.
We use RevenueCat to check whether Premium is active and to restore purchases. RevenueCat and Apple handle product identifiers, transaction state, renewal status, storefront, currency, and a random app-specific installation identifier that is not linked to your name or email.
Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
7. Permissions
Camera and photo library are used to capture or import clothes and outfits.
Notifications are used only if you ask for outfit reminders. These are scheduled locally on your device and involve no push server.
Motion is used for local interactive effects.
You can change any of these in iOS Settings. Some features stop working without them.
8. How Long Data Is Kept, and Where
Your wardrobe data has no retention period here, because we never receive it. Delete an item in the app, or delete the app, and it is gone.
Sentry keeps crash reports and error replays for up to 90 days. Aptabase keeps anonymous analytics for up to five years. We keep purchase and transaction records for six years to meet UK accounting obligations.
Sentry and Aptabase both store data in the United States. RevenueCat and Apple may also process data outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission standard contractual clauses, or another safeguard permitted under UK data protection law.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
In practice these rights reach only the limited data held by Aptabase, Sentry, RevenueCat and Apple, because everything else stays on your device. Email stylesnap@concurrent.space and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU.
10. Children
StyleSnap is a personal wardrobe app, not a social network or a sharing service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through StyleSnap, email stylesnap@concurrent.space and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes, and update our App Store privacy disclosures before any new kind of collection begins.
